For the month of January as we venture into new things and new possibilities I will remind myself that I am capable. That means I have the ability, fitness and quality necessary to achieve the things God sets before me. I don’t do it in my own power, but in His.
In 2022 find what all you are capable of accomplishing.
In Season 4 of TV Talk with the Sistas we talk about some of the new shows that started in 2021. Lots of new shows started in 2021, but probably won’t last. The season is affectionally titled, New To Us because they are new to us and we take on some of he best of what was released. We don’t hold back. We tell you what we think.
There is a format change because we shortened the length of the podcast to 15 minutes. We focus on one show and no longer compare with another. Let us know what you think about it.
Episode 1
This Netflix show is a comedy that brings an African American family to the screen. It adds something new to funny but does it work? The Sistas tell you what they think works and if anything needs to change.
Non traditional Christmas Movie. Romantic Comedy. Fun story. Operation Christmas Drop is the story of a government official sent to evaluate and shut down a military base. She gets there in time to see the work they do for Christmas and has a big decision to make. It was a fun light hearted story that I enjoyed.
Tis the season for parties and celebrating with the ones you love. Whether you are going to a big party or celebrating with a few folks, remember the spirit of the season. Be kind and gentle. Bless others.
These people took a journey to find something they had only heard in folklore. But something compelled them to move forward. The thing was a star and they began to follow it.
It led them far from home.
The Bible tells us they came from the East and were called wise men. Imagine the smartest people in the world at the time were following an astronomical phenomenon. Whatever was at the end of it had to be life changing.
Christian folklore sometimes refers to these wise men as kings using Isaiah 60 and Psalm 72. They also give them a racial identity making one from China, or India or Persia or even Africa.
Regardless of where they were from. They went somewhere. The star led them on a journey that changed everything.
Gentleness doesn’t always look like what we think. It might not be smooth or even. It might be messy. But it is what is needed at the time that it is given.
