Faith is something that is fat and full and bright. The Lord has taken me on adventures that have stretched it and made it look nothing like I imagined. He has taught me it was not what I thought it was. It was better. It was hard. It allowed me to get to know God in a way I never knew.
God gives us beauty whether we appreciate it or not. Most of the time we do not. We trash the place and ignore His good work. Every spring flowers grow.
I finally got to a point where my faith began to be more reflective of me and my walk with the Lord. It didn’t look like other people’s, because it was tailor made for me.
When you start learning about faith, it tends to look light and fluffy, like everyone else. It is an image that sits up high and tries to resemble those around you. For years I allowed other people to decide what faith looked like to me.
Just like this bud on the plant, folks have things in the works that starting to peak and show what is coming. Spring is a time when life comes back strong from the winter. It brings new life.
This month’s affirmation is faith. It is the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. We all have faith in something.
My faith is in Jesus as the Son of God. Every day it looks different.
I admit in the beginning it was small and could barely be seen. It blended in with the backdrop. It wasn’t trying to stand out or stand up. It just was.
What does your faith look like?
Seem to bring flowers a few days earlier. Signs of spring are all around. It is hope in the form of nature reminding us that seeds in the ground bring forth something fresh and beautiful.
Give it. Get it.
Now is the time to capture those memories.
