Affirmation

Mine rises and falls according to what I put into it. I love to lift my hands because it feels as though I am reaching for my God, the subject of it. I love it when I can throw off what ever is on me and go before my God. I love to worship.

Affirmation

Have you ever sat in a room designed for worship and felt like it was invisible? I have prayed more than one time ‘Holy Spirit, if you are not coming, you should have let me known.”

Some services feel like the worship is invisible. There are shadows around it, but you don’t see any clear signs of it. I struggle with what to do when there is no worship in the worship. I admit, I hold back because I don’t want to seem like the weirdo who is always shouting and praising God. But sure miss Him when He isn’t there.

Affirmation

Faith is something that is fat and full and bright.  The Lord has taken me on adventures that have stretched it and made it look nothing like I imagined. He has taught me it was not what I thought it was. It was better. It was hard. It allowed me to get to know God in a way I never knew.

Affirmation

When you start learning about faith, it tends to look light and fluffy, like everyone else. It is an image that sits up high and tries to resemble those around you. For years I allowed other people to decide what faith looked like to me.

Affirmation

This month’s affirmation is faith. It is the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. We all have faith in something.

My faith is in Jesus as the Son of God. Every day it looks different.

I admit in the beginning it was small and could barely be seen. It blended in with the backdrop. It wasn’t trying to stand out or stand up. It just was.

What does your faith look like?

Affirmation

In Destiny’s Dilemma, Zo is very good at dispensing grace to those she thinks deserve it. It is when she comes up against someone she thinks does not deserve her grace that the valve turns off. We do that sometimes. God’s grace doesn’t come with strings.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)
