He tried to driver her insane and burn up everything she owned, but Claire would chase the pirate who wrecked her life with everything she got. Would it be enough?
Privateers
A single young woman is tricked by modern day pirates losing everything she owned. As she tries to figure out what happened to her belongings, her world crashes around her as government and private agencies treat her as a suspect. Determined to find the man who did this to her, she stumbles onto a government top secret. Finding this modern day pirate turns into a race against lethal forces.
So I have this song stuck in my head, but I only know 2 words. It makes me giggle.
So I walked into my mechanic’s office and explained the problems with the car. He answered by breaking out in song. I could not help but laugh as he continued to sing through my distress. After he sang a little, he looked at me and laughed.
The best part was he reminded me of where my source and help comes from. As I stood ready to talk business. He reminded me that God was my protector and has control of our lives. He reminded me that nothing happens in our lives without God.
Now he did roll his eyes at me for wanting him to do the repairs the same day. ( I got there two hours before he closed.) He also continued to sing.
A couple of days later, as he was going over the repairs with me, we talked about family. He said family gatherings are about love and respect for each other. He gave me a hug, a kiss and wished me Merry Christmas.
I paid for car repairs, but got a whole lot more.
As you are meeting with your family and friends this holiday season, and getting caught up in the festivities, remember to love and respect one another. When things start going to the contrary, just sing.
My latest novel is a fun one. It is the story of a woman who has to decide on having a career or staying close to her family. You can get the first 6 chapters of this novel for .99 cents.
An African American woman moved home to take care of her dying mother giving up the opportunity to experience a world beyond segregation. Zoraida Hughes Williams finds that some things have changed about her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas while some have stayed the same, like Hell’s Half Acre, an area where saloons, prostitution and gambling runs wild. Like most of the residents, she wants to keep her head down and stay away from trouble, but it comes in the unlikely form of an Anglo Baptist preacher. He messes up everything and almost gets them killed.

In 25 days we will all meet around a tree or table or something and unwrap presents. When we buy these presents we will think of the people who we have encountered all year and their impact in our lives. The greatest gift was given more than 2000 years ago when God sent His son to earth in human form, in baby Jesus.
God has given me gifts all year. Over the next 25 days, I will share my bountiful year.
One of the best things that we had this year was a Sweet Sixteen party for Hope. It was more fun than any of us imagined it would be.
The food was outstanding thanks for First Family Catering. Woo Hoo!
the costumes were hilarious
and the people were amazing.
I have some of the best memories from this party.
Thanks God for the 16 year old, the great party, funny costumes, great food and wonderful people to share the moment with.
