Anyone who knows me, knows that spend my life encouraging others. So it only makes sense that Encourage is in the middle of everything I do. (But it will be funny) Be Encouraged!
Here is your writing tip for this week.
In a time when FEAR is the Kool Aid flavor of the month, it is a difficult task to teach your children not to fear. But do you know that there is only one thing you should fear?
God’s word teaches us many things about this world and how to deal with it. We need to teach our kids. In How to Raise God Wise Kids you will get pointers on how to teach your child to talk to God.

A storyteller uses different mediums to tell their tales. In 2014, I produced, directed and wrote my first feature film, Family Tree.It is the story of a group of young women who try to plan family reunion with people who hate each other, but an underlying force brings them together.
It is currently on sale for rent or purchase in Japan, Germany and the UK. In order to release it in the US, I need to have it closed captioned (accepting donations) Here is snapshots from the movie.
If someone in your family took off with your money or your new boyfriend was kind of iffy, she’s the private investigator used to dealing with folks from the hood. Connections is the story of how one case turned out to be the biggest case of her life.

I worked deep into the night last night finishing the updated version of Dancing During the Storm. You are going to love it. I know. I love it. I literally had to cut the last story off because I was running out of space. I had been promising this update for a year and I finally did it! It is so worth it!
I will be honest writing for me is like a relationship. Some days it is good and I love it more than anything, other days, I quit it and promise never to return. If it were a marriage, I would have divorced it a dozen times. Of course, we would get back together and promise to do right.
The thing that always brings me back is the story. I tell God I am not doing this anymore. I am finished, done. God gives me a story so good I can’t wait to put it on paper.
I added three new stories to the book and took two stories away. Dancing During the Storm is a collection of short stories. These are stories I have written over the course of my life. the first story I added is about justice or what is perceived as justice. Another is about the state of women and the third one was my first attempt to write from the point of view of a man.
As you read my work, I am sure you wonder where does this come from, and only the grace of God knows. He inspires me and takes me step by step through the process.
During the month of September I will give you some insight into why I do what I do. I will tell you some stories. You may even learn some things. This year I will also share some of the influencers in my life. Looking forward to telling you the story of me.

and just go to church to hear the choir sing, or you don’t participate in any of the things he calls the church to do from his pulpit, it is time for you to find a new church.
I know. I was in that position once. The preacher was good, but what he said did not line up with who God was creating me to be. As I often say we are the body of Christ and as such we all need different things, just as a body does. I mean we don’t put socks on our hands or sit on our hats. There are things designed for those areas of the body that allow them to function the way they ought to.
God has specific ministries for all of us, but many of us sit at the wrong church for the wrong reasons and miss it.
Since I joined this new church, I have found that my life is more full than it has ever been. I walk with folks who help me walk in obedience with God. i participate in the work God has designed for me as service. I don’t agree with everything my pastor says, but I hear the voice of God from the pulpit. He leads me.
In my new church, I have discovered that when my pastor asks something from the pulpit, he is representing God. How dare I say no. (yes, I have said no.) But I try to make it 90 percent of the time.
Annually my church sets aside time to help in local schools. I told myself I am serving in another ministry I do not have to do this. It would mean an extra day during the week, blah, blah, blah.

But my lifegroup chose to serve this week. I chose to serve with them. It was good. Find yourself a church where you can do the work God has for you to do. Find yourself a lifegroup to hold you to God’s principles. In a time when very few are moral, find someones who will hold you accountable.

I loved serving at the school. The principal was a joy.

It spoke to me to say that this is how life ought to be. When God requests, we fulfill. We let go of our selfish ambitions and do what God requires of us.
