This month the word is anticipation. It means that you are expecting that something will happen, or someone will arrive. This month I am anticipating good things. I don’t know about you, but there are many people in my life who anticipate the bad. I am not for that. This marvelous Juneteenth Month I am watching and waiting for the good.
As this month draws to a close, I have created a notebook to keep information in. I have learned a lot from the different things I have investigated. I want to make sure that i apply what I know.
In searching out new things and investigating them, I have found doors open to me that were not available before. It was in doing the research I found more possibilities.
From my new short experiences this month, I have learned some new things. Some of the people I learned from were seasoned professionals, while some were new.
While sometimes it was scary venturing into places where I have not been, it was also exciting and adventurous.
I tried some new things. I sat and listened. I watched and asked questions. Because of the point of view I am approaching this, I am taking notes. I am learning from the process.
This month the word is investigative. I am going to examine and explore the things that I do to see what kind of impact I am having.
Being accountable has made me focus on my mission and core values. This month I was able to align my tasks with what I believe. That was very cool.
It also gave me moments to think about why I believe something and what it really looks like for me.
As a result, I have tried to create processes that incorporate being accountable into my life. It seems very doable.
In order to maintain accountability, have a partner that will help you make goals and keep them. Have a person in your life who agrees with your ideas and will hold you accountable.
According to Inc Magazine, here are some things to do to be more accountable.
Take responsibility for your actions.
Don’t make excuses.
Be on time.
Own your feelings.
Collaborate with others.
This is a process, and we are not all at the same level. Be patient with yourself as you learn and grow.
The magic word for the month is accountable.
Required or expected to justify actions or decisions; responsible.
