Grace can come at us sideways. When we are least expecting it, it showers us with surprise. In my novel Destiny’s Dilemma, one of the characters is utterly undone, when he receives grace. He is a bigot who finds himself at the mercy of African Americans. He is surprised by the grace they give him.
Many times it is hard for us to accept grace because we feel we have not earned it. Grace is not earned.
Remember when you give it. Grace is not given to those who deserve it.
It is the thing we need the most, yet most of us are very poor at extending it. This month’s word means getting what we do not deserve.
It is the thing. One day it will be become your best asset. You will do whatever it takes to keep it. It will be worth it.
Sometimes your peace is sideways. You may have to hide to find those moments where you can rejuvenate. Some days it may look a little different. It may not have the ebb and flow that you want. But it is there.
It is the freedom from disturbance, but what it really is is not being bothered by the disturbance.
If you only got a little of this, hold on to it. Remember what it is like, it will grow.
If you don’t have it, you know it. The lack of it will rob you of sleep, disrupt your appetite and age you beyond your years.
It is defined as freedom from disturbance; tranquility.
Even when it it hard to see, it is still there. Some days you have to focus on it.
Some times Hope doesn’t look like what you think it should. We are looking for one thing, but something else shows up. If we are connected to the creator of the universe, God we recognize it. Hope is always here.
Don’t let the first few days of this month diminish your hope. This will be determined by where you place your hope. If you place it in circumstances, then this past week might have given you a little trouble.
I place my hope in Jesus. As I was reminded by bible study this week, sometimes He even blesses my mess. Instead of giving me what I deserve, He will make it so that I get a blessing from it.
Even though things look rough. Look for the hope in it.
He is the LORD Almighty. He is deity. He is the all knowing, all powerful, creator of the universe. He is not a good human being. He is beyond our imaginations. When the situation seems tough, remember there is someone who can handle it.
