In 2022 I am going to own the affirmation.
For the month of January as we venture into new things and new possibilities I will remind myself that I am capable. That means I have the ability, fitness and quality necessary to achieve the things God sets before me. I don’t do it in my own power, but in His.
In 2022 find what all you are capable of accomplishing.
Gentleness doesn’t always look like what we think. It might not be smooth or even. It might be messy. But it is what is needed at the time that it is given.
Gentleness took on a different form. It might not look like what you think it should. It might not act how you think it should. He is a gentle savior.
Imagine the most powerful being in the universe decides to meet His creation. One of the attributes that He would display would be gentleness. How do powerful hands touch hearts? Gently.
It’s attributes are kindness, tenderness and being mild mannered. The word for the month is Gentleness. Imagine the most powerful being in the universe wants to commune with His creation. He came in the most gentle form to meet us.
Lets be Gentle this month.
Just be grateful. It is simple.
If you played a drinking game with this word this week you would find yourself sufficiently drunk. But actually being grateful means more than that. This week reflect on the things that you are grateful for.
Big G little ratefu big L. I try to be grateful which looks like a big G in the beginning. I become complacent. Then I am reminded of all I have and end with a big L. It is not something you can just be once. You have to work at it.
It is not smooth. It is not straight forward. It is not always easy.
Have you ever had someone say they are grateful, but…
Those people are not grateful. They greedy. Be grateful.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I spend much of my time thinking about what I want and need. It is time to focus on what I have and be grateful. Making the invisible, a little more visible.
