Both of the characters of this month suffer interruptions that change their lives. In my art choice for the month, Estevanico was a young man of Moroccan descent who’s life was interrupted by slave traders. In my fiction book, Privateers, my heroine has her life interrupted by pirates. Each spend their lives dealing with the repercussions.

Let’s be for real. In 2023 there will be some interruptions. What we make of these interruptions will determine how we live.

I choose to walk in expectation of this. Use it as a moment to stop and think. Then get back to it, or move in another direction.
